PIPISIK BEACH LAIYA: Room Rates and Accomodation

Important reminders before going to the resort

1. Buy groceries at the local Market in San Juan or if you happen to find a wet market along the road. Meat, fish and other ingredients are a lot more expensive and oftentimes unavailable along the beach area. You don't have to bring your own cooking and dining utensils because Pipisik already have these provisions in their accommodation including a water dispenser. You just have to buy a refill for the water dispenser which is 35 pesos at their convenience store.

2. Pipisik is not the kind of resort that you can readily find along the road. You will have to ride a motorcycle or tricycle to reach the resort. You can coordinate with the resort manager so she can ask for a motorcycle to fetch you once you arrived at the Laiya public beach in Hugom. The road going to the resort is very steep and it will be your first extreme adventure. If you're bringing a family with elders, this resort is not for you. At the motorcycle drop off, you will have to go through the long and winding staircase going down to reach the resort. I recommend wearing trekking or rubber shoes since the stairs are slippery with moss and dew.

Arriving at the resort

After that scary and exhausting downward hike, you will reach a secluded private resort. The first thing you want to do is sit down and breath from all that exercise. During off peak season, you don't have to get an advance booking to reserve a room you just have to approach the lady at the convenience store and ask for an accommodation.

Rooms and Rates

Don't get too excited. Rate is per room and not per house. However, their rooms are big enough it can accommodate up to 8 persons. Each room has two double beds and an extra double size mattress. You can request for another mattress for a fee. Each room also has it's own small kitchen area separated from the bedroom with a double burner gas stove.
